YELLOW FEVER ADVISORY FOR TRINIDAD & TOBAGO

VISA WAIVER PROGRAM FOR TRAVEL TO USA (JAN 2009)

Please note the following announcement regarding travel to the USA for persons from Visa Waiver Countries, as well as persons who travel on passports from Visa Waiver Countries.

Passengers traveling to the USA who do not need a US visa (27 countries – mainly European including United Kingdom) under the Visa Waiver Program will now be required to complete a Visa Waiver form online prior to departure. Failure to do so will mean passengers will be denied entry into the USA. The start date is 12 January 2009 – please note that you must apply for authorization no later than 72 hours before departure.

NEW BAGGAGE POLICY (DEC 2008)

CARIBBEAN AIRLINES
Beginning 1st December 2008, Caribbean Airlines has revised their baggage policy for all customers who travel exclusively within the Caribbean and South America.

Checked Baggage Allowance for Intra Caribbean & South America

- One Bag at a maximum of 23 kilos/50 pounds. Maximum dimensions per bag (H+W+L): 157cms (62 inches)

Checked Baggage Allowance for International:
- Remains at two bags at a maximum of 23 kilos/50 pounds each. Maximum dimensions per bag (H+W+L): 157cms (62 inches)

LIAT AIRLINES
With effect from 1st December 2008, the free baggage allowance for all LIAT services will be one piece at a maximum of 23 kilos/50 pounds per passenger.  The maximum overall size per piece will be 157cms (62 inches). In addition passengers will be allowed one piece of cabin baggage inclusive of a laptop at a maximum weight of 7 kilos/15 pounds and maximum overall dimensions of 91cms (36 inches).


AMERICAN AIRLINES NEWS (July 2008)

CHANGE FEE:
American Airlines has announced that the fee for any changes to issued tickets is now US$150 plus the difference in the fare.

CHILDREN/INFANTS:
American Airilnes no longer offers discounts to children.  Infants will now have to pay 10% of the adult fare.

ADVANTAGE MILES:
Effective 1st October 2008, mileage levels will be changing for select AA award tickets and upgrade awards. For a full update, please visit www.aa.com


AMERICAN AIRLINES CHECKED BAG POLICY FOR DOMESTIC USA FLIGHTS

"Customers who purchase domestic economy class tickes on or after May 12, 2008 but before June 15, 2008 may check one bag for free and check a second bag for US$25 each way.  Customers who purchase domestic economy class tickets on or after June 15, 2008 will be charged US$15 each way for the first checked bag and US$25 each way for the second checked bag.  Our carry-on policy of one personal item (such as a purse or laptop bag) plus one bag remains in place."  For more informatoin and exceptions to the rule, please visit www.aa.com.

Please note that this baggage policy does not affect travel which originates in Barbados.
